Centuries ago, giant wooden vessels called 'Kettuvalams' (boats tied with ropes) carried tons of fragrant spices, raw rice, and coir across the winding waterways of the Malabar coast. Not a single iron nail was driven into the wood; instead, massive planks of wild jackfruit timber (Anjili) were stitched together with resilient coir cords and caulked with boiled cashew nut resin.

Today, SparKing — King of Backwaters reimagines this grand royal artisanal legacy into sublime floating palaces. We have preserved the authentic joinery, vaulted bamboo canopies, and warm teak decks, while integrating modern silent solar-hybrid propulsion, bespoke staterooms, and five-star culinary hospitality.
